Not a single person who weighs that much is in good physical condition. My little brother grew up mentally challenged because of medical problems. When I got to the end of middle school I slimed down a lot and looked very muscular from working out everyday and my brother kept his baby weight. We wrestled EVERY DAY. Even if his mom hated it. I won every round and he would always tell me he wished he was as strong as me. The thing is that all that baby weight wasn't fat. It was muscle, he just didn't look like it but he was unbelievably strong. The only reason I won all the time is because I was technical and genuinely loved fighting. I only won because I could use my head and he couldn't. I spent the every second of his life trying to convince him that he's stronger than his big brother. It always put the biggest smile on his face and then he'd go around asking everyone to arm wrestle. He was such a funny kid. He passed away 3 years ago on the 7th of September. Buried on the 23rd. His cancer came back, even after he beat it fair and square. He was the strongest kid in the world. I wish I was that strong. I hope he believed me in the end. I've never cried in the middle of typing a comment before. I miss him so much. I say all of this because I didn't get a chance to tell him bye as no one told me he was back in the hospital. Tell your siblings you love them every fucking chance you get. Please.

Ironically my brother was the favorite and my dad was very open about it although not as extreme as this was. Yet I was the one who joined and he never did. 62 years old. When I joined the Marines at 18 there was a recruit just like Cody. I was the fastest and strongest of all the recruits. I set records on the obstacle course. But I saw one recruit that struggled. I went up to that recruiting and asked him, Do you really want this? He said yes. I believed him. So everyday for 2 weeks He and I did extra training. Showed him how to get over the wall. How to do a proper pull-up. To get him stronger, We did 100 push-ups everyday for 2 weeks. He Got super strong And did 15 pull-ups. He Got over that wall like it was nothing. With tears in his eyes, he thanked me for everything we did together. We became close friends. He got through boot camp and went on to a 20-year career. Every time we crossed paths He would tell everyone in earshot how I got him through boot camp. I would then say no, You got yourself through boot camp. You just needed a little inspiration. He still gets teary-eyed when he sees me. SEMPER FI Darren. I WILL ALWAYS BE LOYAL😊

Grew up in the service and tons of family as well. Every man knows you’re only as strong as your weakest link. You don’t cut a piece off to try to make the whole stronger, you let the chain work itself. Weak people can become strong, bullies can become good people. All that needs to happen is a chance and done effort.

I served with a kid like this when I joined up. Dude actually pissed himself at medical. Instead of shunning him or feeling embarrassed. I made sure his goofy ass was where he was supposed to be. Good guy and all but I couldn’t help feeling bad for him. He shaped up eventually and he served honorably. Small things can go a long way, like cheering on your friend.

I will envy those that are blessed to have siblings. Please cherish those you have, I remember learning that I was supposed to be a triplet but my other brothers weren't fortunate to make it and I barely made it. I learned very early on when I was little and would always find ways to reach out to them even if they weren't there because I was very lonely growing up and they told me this because I always wanted siblings. Whenever I'd get balloons I would always make sure I can have an extra one to let fly up, I'd imagine the way it would sway all around in the air that my brothers were playing with it and it always made me laugh and smile.

You know I really wish I had more kids than just one because I love my boy and everything but I wanted him to have siblings cuz I grew up with siblings but I also grew with kind of a bad household cuz like Steph filling me and everything and it got to a point where I didn't feel like I could trust them. So when I grew up and I got married I had a kid and we were going to have more but eventually she didn't want any more kids and we fell out. But I still still want more kids in the future cuz I don't want my kid to be alone and when I die I want him to have more family members than just his parents. But I can't say I'm not a little jealous that you have a wonderful family. But we're both parents so so yeah

Preferably someone that's not from where you're from. Idk where that is but I've realized you can't always find them in the same community/town. I don’t wanna be the old me. I wanted the new me. And I just don’t feel like I’m the new me anymore without the army.
I’ve been home for almost 2 years after 2 years of service.
Airborne infantry baby.
