Why didn't they have proper winter clothing ? Or ammo or well equipped at all ?

The U.S. were caught off guard when the Ardennes offensive started that December. The 101st was refitting and had to be rushed back to the line on a moments notice. Then they got circled and cut off completely. I think their quartermaster was also captured during the German’s initial push.

Cut out the punch line of easily one the best jokes in the series. A shameful display editor.

This was the battle of the bulge, essentially the guys were following were on r&r behind the line when a german offensive hit, the front line units were not doing well and our character got sent in to reinforce the line at bastogne, this was very sudden so they weren't equipped to be fighting before hand.

@Metinkmeagocookupabanger Not to mention the Western Allies were supplying combat fronts on every continent in the world, sometimes multiple combat fronts. If the Allies were just supplying their own operations in Europe. Germany would have never stood a chance against the hundreds of thousands more troops, thousands more tanks and planes, and millions of tonnes in supplies that the Allies were supplying to other fronts.

Its called war. Stuff like this happens and will continue to happen

@jacklussier9471YouTube

@gladiater56 if we had some common sense and refused to help the USSR, we never would had troubles on ANY front of the war, at any time.

And
...............the U.S. fought on the WRONG side.
Patton confirmed this.

I don't recall the English hitting our civilian ships with torpedoes or aligning themselves with a country that would try to kill us. Typically when choosing sides, I pick the side that wants us to survive and not the countries that are actively killing us.

But sure if you want to live in fantasy land and think the Nazis, Imperialist Japan and the predominantly Christian, Democratic country of America would all coexist peacefully and achieve world peace, then be my guest.

👍 272026/10/09

@adamm4766YouTube

Patton literally never thought that. He thought we should have just gone further and attacked the Russians afterwards:

@josh7827 it's obviously a joke

Lol the major tells the LT the LT tells his Sgt...

Once u get a high rank .... you can ask someone else to do what you were asked to do

👍 352026/10/09

@achasmurph4699YouTube

Simple lesson here. Focus on what you can control. Stop complaining about what you can’t.

@jeffspencer7617YouTube

People live off of these movies they have no idea about history or how to do for themselves it is sad the day that we live in

👍 22026/10/10

@ririondabeat1YouTube

Close,

Captain (battalion commander) tells LT (company commander), who then tells his other LTs (platoon commanders)

👍 22026/10/10

What do you mean? The actor who played Sledge in The Pacific wasn't in this series.

👍 52026/10/10

@88_Blk_88YouTube

@ririondabeat1 ah his not given the rank of major yet. This was such a great series. It's probably what (Saving private Ryan) would be like had it been a series vs a movie 😅

👍 02026/10/10

@blakekenley1000YouTube

it's "delegation of authority" and it's how shit works. shit rolls downhill.

👍 42026/10/10

@TheWholeNineYawdsYouTube

It’s a mini series not a movie. If you’re gonna criticize people at least get what you’re criticizing right.

👍 22026/10/10

@TheWholeNineYawdsYouTube

@Iwillfigureoutanamelater I know right? What’s this bro thinking???

👍 42026/10/10

@centralpark2168YouTube

thats literally what these men died for so their children wouldnt have to know. But instead their children got sent to die in vietnam by the us government

👍 22026/10/11

@reynaldog805YouTube

I love how he just delegates in front of Winters and when Winters looks at Compton 😂

👍 1042026/10/11

@dillonhunt1720YouTube

@88_Blk_88 Saving Private Ryan had an even bigger rank inconsistency. There's no reason a Ranger Cpt. would be heading an 8 man squad. Somewhere there was a ranger company in Normandy wondering where the hell their CO was at and why he couldn't have just sent someone else.

👍 32026/10/11

@RustyPettersonYouTube

@TheWholeNineYawds The guy in the truck that says "You need four, minimum" does really look quite like Sledgehammer! Go to 50 seconds and have another look.

👍 02026/10/11

@TheWholeNineYawdsYouTube

@RustyPetterson absolutely does not even come close.
