Plot:While George was accompanying Mandy to a business dinner, he unexpectedly ran into his mother, Mary, on a date with his business rival, Fred. Ever since his father’s passing, he had been unable to come to terms with his mother starting a new relationship, and he lost his temper on the spot, confronting her in front of everyone.
The plan that Mandy and Mary had secretly devised to mend their mother-son relationship was completely derailed. His outburst not only ruined his mother’s date but also brought his wife’s painstaking efforts at reconciliation crashing down, deepening the rift between mother and son even further.

Now see, what I don’t understand is:

1. How can Mary honestly date the guy who is threatening to close down Georgie’s business when her own house is used as collateral?
2. How can she treat Fagenbacher that way? The dude actually likes her. He’s an ass but poor guy. Instead of him using Mary it came off as Mary just using him to rebel against Georgie.

And I don’t think George Sr. even knows the dude exist. His real rival was Jim McAllister in both love and career.

You seem to be on two sides here. 😂

It’s more like she wants to show Georgie that he doesn’t get to tell her what to do as he’s tried to multiple times. Georgie’s not perfect in this scenario either. Had he left it alone and not threatened her with Cece, she probably wouldn’t even be interested in Fagenbacher.

And Jim and George were never rivals. No scenes with them indicated any sort of rivalry. George had no clear rivals other than that one booster parent. He and Jim were buddies. 😂
