Best movie ever, I was watching all the parts for years when it came to my mind..
Gogo Spears :)
have you seen any other movie?
They disparaged Sobel the same way , who jumped into enemy territory on D Day, and led his men to destroy a machinegun nest.
It makes for good TV, but those men didn't deserve to have their names ran through the mud like that! Especially not calling Dike a coward, when the production crew apparently couldn't even do a little research and find out he was actually a legit war hero.
One of several linguistic errors in the band of brothers that shows the actors were not american.
In the 1940s, someone would have said. Can I get you a cup of coffee or simply can I get you some cof.
Damien Lewis is British as well as half the actors playing americans.
There's a few other linguistic errors throughout the series , but it doesn't change the excellence or quality of the storytelling.
Now compound that with a movie studio’s liberties to make a great series.
In reality, Winters simply did not like Dyke, so Winter’s opinion is relayed into the plot. Notice how Winters, in interviews, can be sort of a hardass where the actor was soft and gentle. In the series, Dyke is portrayed as freezing up at Foy, but in reality he was shot in the shoulder near the haystack and had to be evacuated out. Conveniently omitted in the series, right? That’s why Spiers was sent in to relieve Dyke.
Winters made calls for Dyke not to return once healed, so Dyke was assigned as an aide to the 101st Div commander, Lt Gen Taylor. Dyke also served in Korea. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel earning two Bronze stars, but we all know how officers love to award each other medals.
I’m not saying Dyke was good, just citing this as an example of Ambrose only going with Winter’s version.
Genre: History/Drama/Action/Adventure/War

The men of Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, train for war and fight across Europe during World War II, forging bonds of brotherhood amid the brutal realities of combat.
YOU CAN WATCH THE MOVIE/SERIES BY CHECKING THE CHANNEL BIO.
"I think you are incompetent, lieutenant, you are relieved from leading Easy Company."
That's not a good enough reason.
You were part of the group who got rid of sobel my guy 😅
So explicitly then for Transformers fans why I think this whole is a good series.
Things are not just explode, and the whole is not about destruction, it is about development.
This series has real story - close to real, it's documented.
The solders talk before each episode is so good!
The movie has man-to-man jokes all around.
BUT it keeps the tension all the way in every episode.
Like in this speach there is a big tension with the possibility of tragedy. More over if the watcher just try to feel what some main character felt in some situations it is great at all.
Correction then:
Best WW2 movie ever.
I hope it is okay for you now :)
*refuses a hot cup of coffee on a snowy day*
Truly a terrible and unconscionable act.
Imo european war movies are just much superior because they often dont have the need to create these absurd hero characters like Winters in this show
The reason he thought this would be something that he’d never do, is because it’s very frowned upon for an enlisted man (even someone higher up like a first sgt) to speak ill of an officer to another like that.
